The RJ Finlayson Butter Factory was originally constructed in the late 1800's. It has had various uses over the years, it was originally built as a community hall. In 1899 it became a roller skating rink before becoming the butter factory in 1922 and supporting the local dairy industry until closure in 1965. Now part of the Gladstone Heritage Walk, this building is empty and looking for a new opportunity.
