Spend five days exploring Lake Eyre North, Woomera, William Creek and Coober Pedy. A land of contrasts from red gibber plains stretching to the horizon, mound springs creating bush oases and wetlands, Red Gum lined creeks and vast areas of grey saltbush and spiky Spinifex.
Tour highlights include Wadlata Outback Centre Port Augusta. Opal mining town of Andamooka. Woomera established in 1947 as a site for the launching of experimental rockets. William Creek via the Borefield Road and the Oodnadatta Track. In William Creek visit the world’s most isolated Pub. Bubbler Springs and Blanche Cup Springs bush oases and wetlands. Lake Eyre North covering 8,430 square kilometres take an optional flight over Lake Eyre North and South (own expense). Spend a day in William Creek. Continue to Coober Pedy in the heart of South Australia's vast outback, an opal wonderland. See the Breakaway's Reserve and Moon Plain before heading to Glendambo. Return to Adelaide revisiting Port Augusta, arriving at approximately 6pm.
