Boxing Bay Beach
Kangaroo Island
Within Boxing Bay are two beaches composed of both sand and boulders. The first lies at the western end of the bay, at the end of the vehicle track from the North Cape Road. It is a 200 m long, predominantly sand beach, backed by sloping, grassy bluffs and bordered by extensive boulder flats.
The only beaches suitable for safe swimming are the sandy parts of the two Boxing Bay beaches. However be careful if there are waves, as rock-controlled rips will form.
Surfing
Only low beach breaks during higher wave periods.
The best fishing is off the rock platforms which border each beach.
An isolated bay mainly used by local fishers.
