Escapades : A visual journey

"Escapades a visual journey" is a solo exhibition presented by Geert van Keulen. It is the RainMoth's SALA exhibition for this year running during August and September.
The exhibition features a wide range of paintings, including watercolours, oils, and gouaches. There will also be a selection of visual journeys on display including sketchbooks and drawings showing the evolution from sketch to painting. These are inspired by the many journeys undertaken by the artist through hiking and cycling into many remote Australian and International landscapes. When travelling through the often stunning landscapes, Geert sketches after he has finished his hike or ride. He always works from real life. Back in his studio he then converts his sketches into paintings. " My sketches help me to observe, to listen and to be at one with my surroundings. And it is a mate, allowing me to rarely feel lonely these long, remote, and often solitary journeys." The exhibition will run from the 3rd august to the end of September.
