Attraction
Edithburgh Tidal Pool is a much-loved seaside attraction offering a safe, relaxed way to enjoy the ocean. Naturally filled and refreshed by the tides, the pool provides calm swimming conditions while remaining closely connected to the open waters of Gulf St Vincent.

The pool dates back to the 1880s, when separate bathing areas were created for men and women during Edithburgh's busy port days. Today, the remaining pool continues to serve the community, blending maritime history with everyday coastal enjoyment.

Shallow and family-friendly, the pool has a maximum depth of approximately 0.9 metres, making it ideal for children, gentle swims, and confidence-building in the sea. Steps provide easy access into the water.

One of the pool's standout features is the vibrant mural by local artist Darryl Lewis, celebrating the region's marine and bird life and adding a colourful sense of place.

Surrounded by lawns, picnic areas, BBQ facilities, toilets and nearby parking, Edithburgh Tidal Pool is also a popular VacSwim venue and a favourite spot to relax, swim and watch the sun set over the sea.
