Prepare to attend the prestigious Bay Sheffield Carnival, an event renowned for its longstanding tradition and high calibre of athletic competition all at seaside Glenelg.

Spectators will observe athletes from across Australia competing in closely contested races, each vying for an esteemed Bay Sheffield sash. The unique atmosphere at Colley Reserve, a natural amphitheatre, allows audiences to experience the action up close as competitors demonstrate their speed and determination in both sprints and around the notorious Colley Reserve bends.

Events range from 70 to 3200 metres, employing a handicapping system designed to ensure competitive and exciting finishes among participants of varying abilities.

Now marking its 139th consecutive year, the Bay Sheffield is rich in history. Saturday will feature the 101st Glenelg 70m Sprint, and with twilight scheduling and pyrotechnics it is a great night out.

On Sunday, the highlight events—the 120m Men's and Women's Bay Sheffields—will showcase top-tier talent striving for victory.
The Bay Sheffield remains a celebrated occasion that has captivated generations of spectators. With admission free for spectators, a vibrant family-oriented environment, and a selection of food and beverages available onsite, this year's carnival promises an exceptional experience for all attendees.
