Free colour-filled family art day takes over Carclew this May.
Carclew will come alive in a vibrant explosion of colour, creativity and imagination this May, as families across South Australia are invited to take part in a free, immersive day of art making designed especially for children.
Taking place on Saturday 16 May, the Art Making Family Day is a joyful, hands-on experience open to all families with children aged 0–12. Set across the Carclew grounds, the event invites families to roll out a picnic rug and spend the day exploring, creating and connecting through art.
Children can take part in a mix of artist-led workshops and open, self-guided creative activities, with opportunities to experiment with materials, explore colour and bring their ideas to life in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Led by artist Alice Lindstrom, the program encourages children to think creatively, take risks and enjoy the process of making, with activities designed to build confidence and spark imagination.
Families are free to move between activities at their own pace, creating a flexible and easy day out that can be enjoyed for an hour or the full day.
Families are encouraged to bring picnic rugs and food and enjoy a full day of creative activities in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
