As AFL Gather Round returns to Adelaide, a unique health initiative is giving fans the chance to prioritise their skin health while enjoying one of the country's biggest sporting events.
The Australian Skin Cancer Foundation's 3D Skin Check Mobile Clinic will be at the Macca's Footy Festival in Elder Park from Thursday 9 April to Sunday 12 April, offering free, full-body skin checks to the public.
Made possible through the support of Sportsbet, the mobile clinic brings life-saving skin cancer detection directly to the community, helping remove common barriers such as cost, time and access to specialists.
The clinic features advanced 3D VECTRA imaging technology, enabling clinicians to conduct thorough, full-body skin assessments. Each skin check takes around 15 minutes and includes personalised education on sun safety, early detection advice, and follow-up recommendations where required.
The initiative returns following strong demand in 2025, where more than 300 skin checks identified 63 suspicious spots, including 13 suspected melanomas - highlighting the number of Australians potentially living with undetected skin concerns.
With high UV levels and long days outdoors during Gather Round, this is a timely opportunity to take a proactive step towards better skin health.
No booking required — this is a free walk-in service, subject to daily capacity.
