Madinati: Every Story Shapes Our City, Interactive Visual Art Workshop
Adelaide
From $10.00
Event
The Arabic Language and Culture Association of South Australia (ALCASA) warmly invites you to the launch of "Madinati: Every Story Shapes Our City", an interactive exhibition taking place from 17 April to 15 May 2026 at the Minor Works Building Community Centre.
An interactive extension of the Madinati (My City) exhibition is a critical and creative opportunity to engage and reflect on emergent and enduring themes of the cities we live in. Artists Ahmed Elkhalidi and Rua Hashlamoun will develop their interactive exhibition, with workshop participants, bringing together visual artworks inspired by the city of Adelaide and other personally significant places. They will include participatory elements in this community workshop where attendees can contribute their stories and experiences, helping to shape the work in real time.
The workshop provides a rare chance to engage with the artists, explore the exhibition, and gain a deeper understanding of the stories and memories that foster a sense of belonging across our city.
Artistic resources will be provided at the workshop. Limited number of places available.
Hosted by the The Arabic Language and Culture Association of South Australia (ALCASA).
Proudly supported by City of Adelaide Community Impact Grants
