A mid-week escape full of heart in the stunning acoustic of Elder Hall.

Ravel's Le Tombeau de Couperin opens with the gentle, pastoral sound of the oboe, a beautiful and impressionistic throwback to the Baroque composer of its namesake. Australian pianist Andrea Lam takes the spotlight in a colourful and cinematic piece from French composer Cécile Chaminade. The concert concludes with Haydn's charming Miracle Symphony, so named after a remarkable performance when a chandelier fell from the ceiling – luckily missing the audience below.
