Known for her captivating live shows, emotive storytelling and powerful yet intimate vocals, My Chérie creates music that moves between introspective softness and electrifying energy. Raised in South Africa and now based in Adelaide on Kaurna Country, My Chérie is one of Australia's most compelling emerging voices. Her music balances ethereal textures, rich storytelling and ambient guitars with bold, cinematic energy and live improvisation. Comparisons have been drawn to artists such as Kate Bush, Florence + The Machine and Wolf Alice. A queer, neurodivergent and culturally diverse artist, Chérie explores identity, heartbreak, faith, and the complexity of living outside the norm, offering audiences both catharsis and connection. As a solo artist, she won Best Live Act in South Australia at the 2020 National Live Music Awards, but now works with a dynamic full band, evolving her sound into a genre-bending mix of alt pop, folk/rock, and indie pop/rock.
