The Loose Caboose has created Adelaide’s finest unique brunch dining experiences in one of Australia’s oldest heritage listed railway stations.
The Bowden Railway Station, built in 1856 and heritage listed. It is Australia's oldest railway station (pre-dated by Melbourne's Flinders St station which was started in 1854 but not finished until 1910).
The railway station is located at the end of Station Place where it meets First Street in Hindmarsh only 2.7 kms from Adelaide city.
The owner has always loved Adelaide; old buildings; coffee; great food; atmosphere and creating spaces where people love to meet and have a memorable time. Despite its' former dilapidated state, she has restored the Bowden Railway Station to its original glory in a way that is respectful of its surrounds and deep history, whilst adding amenities that breathe life back into the site – it's evolved into a contemporary cafe that is welcoming, memorable and easy to enjoy.
