Located in the picturesque town of Mount Pleasant, the Mount Pleasant Farmers Market is only a 40 minute drive from Adelaide, nestled between the Barossa Valley and the Adelaide Hills.

A community project, the market is the place to go for the freshest seasonal food, and to support the passionate local farmers and food businesses that grow, produce and make it.

Open every Saturday from 8am to 12noon, the undercover market is a showcase for the region, offering essentials and gourmet goodies including fruit and veg, dairy products, cheese, eggs, honey, olive oil, meat, bread, pastries, jam, wine, chocolate, International cuisines, freshly roasted coffee, plants and fresh flowers.

Start with a leisurely gourmet breakfast in the Atrium cafe, wander through the vintage market shed, savour the variety of market stalls, and drink in the country atmosphere.

Plenty of seating is available inside and out for those who like to linger over their breakfast and coffee.

There are regular events held at the market, including the annual Easter and Christmas Twilight markets, the Farmers Market Long Lunch, Summer sessions, winter workshops and the annual SA Spring Garden Festival - a huge event for the region.

From September-May the market is also host to an Artisan Market, called Makers on Melrose, with a selection of quality handmade goods from the regions finest local artists and makers.
