



Kapunda Visitor Information Centre
Overview
The Kapunda Visitor Information Centre is located in the centre of Australia’s oldest Copper mining town and situated in the historic Thomson building with the local Library and Community Craft Shop.
Kapunda is centrally located between the Barossa and Clare Valleys and our friendly staff can assist visitors with a vast array of information to help you plan your stay and visit our region.
Tourism brochures and maps are available, including souvenirs and Australiana books. A family history research centre, free internet and WiFi are also available to visitors.
Visit the 'Taste of the Region' interpretive display, Kapunda Museum, follow the Heritage Trail or walk around the copper mine trail and visit Sir Sidney Kidman's former home 'Eringa' .
The Mawson, Heysen and Kidman Trail all pass through Kapunda and hikers, bike/horse riders are welcome to drop into the centre. Only a short drive away is the Pines Reserve, a pleasant leisurely walk takes you past the old reservoir and the remnants of a tree nursery.
