This is a fabulous 13km walk through the spectacular Barossa Valley, starting in Pewsey Vale walking on gravel paths past vineyards and forests and great Australian bushland of Kaiserstuhl Conservation park. From the park we head down over the rolling hills with glorious views down the valley.

Stopping at Bethany for our picnic lunch made up of local Barossa produce. Bethany, founded in 1842, is the Barossa’s oldest settlement and a village sealed in time. Home to 300 souls, the focal point of this tight-knit community remains the Herberge Christi Lutheran Church under the steady hand of Pastor David Gogoll. As we continue our walk you will learn about the history of this unique village following the Bethany Heritage Trail leading us to the Icon of the Barossa Valley - Château Tanunda.

Explore the birthplace of the Barossa where the first vineyards were planted, and discover 130 years of winemaking traditions spanning three centuries before enjoying a relaxed and enjoyable the premium wine tasting experience.

Our walk ends in the main street of Tanunda.
