Parham camping ground offers a relaxed coastal stay on the Adelaide plains. Managed by the Mallala and Districts Lions Club in partnership with the Parham and District Action Group, all profits are reinvested into the local community.

Set at the northern edge of the township, the campground provides a peaceful alternative to traditional camping. Visitors can unwind by the coast, enjoy wide open skies and experience striking gulf sunsets. The calm environment suits both overnight stops and longer stays.

The location invites simple coastal experiences. Rake for blue swimmer crabs, explore expansive tidal flats and connect with a welcoming local community. The shoreline is known for its dramatic tidal movement, stretching across vast mudflats and offering a rare natural phenomenon known as dodge tides.

Parham's heritage adds depth to every visit. Once a busy coastal port, the town played an important role in shipping grain, wool and timber during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Traces of this history remain, alongside the story of the Parham Jinker, a locally designed innovation used to launch boats in shallow waters.

The campground also provides a convenient base for exploring the surrounding region, including nearby rural landscapes and well-known wine regions. Visitors enjoy a quiet, authentic experience shaped by community care, coastal character and a strong sense of place.
