The Franklin Harbour Hotel is a heritage listed hotel. Originally built in 1881 as a single story hotel with the second story being added around 1907, the hotel offers very comfortable, affordable accommodation as well as a magnificent menu which comprises much of the local region's seafood and wine. Cowell is situated on Franklin Harbour approximately halfway between Port Augusta and Port Lincoln, it is an ideal place for visitors to break a long journey or to take a holiday and enjoy the pleasant climate and relaxed life style.
