Just 20 minutes north of Streaky Bay, Perlubie Beach Campground offers a peaceful and scenic beachfront camping experience on South Australia's Eyre Peninsula. Located 1.5 km off the Flinders Highway, the site is accessed via Perlubie Landing Road (sealed and unsealed sections). Access is not permitted via Eba Anchorage.
Camping is on the beach only, with designated sites stretching along 600 metres of white sand. This campground is recommended for 4WD vehicles only due to the beach access. Camping is not allowed in the car park or under shelters.
The calm, shallow waters make Perlubie Beach perfect for swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking, and relaxing strolls along the shore. It's a great destination for families and off-grid campers looking for a quiet, nature-filled escape. The beach is also known for its picturesque sunsets, sand dunes, and coastal rock formations. Please respect the privately owned dunes nearby and remain within the designated areas.
Before booking, campers should check weather and tide conditions, as high tides can affect access. Each campsite is limited to one caravan or camper trailer, and multiple setups per site are not permitted.
Facilities are basic – a toilet is provided, but campers must bring their own portable toilet and blackwater storage. A limited number of bins are available, so visitors are asked to take their rubbish with them and help keep the beach pristine.
