Attraction
Ada Ryan Gardens is a beautiful open garden space in Whyalla, ideally located between Cudmore and Watson Terraces and seamlessly linked to the Whyalla Foreshore, creating an expansive and tranquil coastal parkland.

Set among beautifully maintained lawns and mature shade trees, the gardens provide the perfect setting for relaxation, recreation and family outings. Visitors can enjoy free barbecue and picnic facilities, public tennis courts, playground equipment and accessible public amenities. A network of paved pathways ensures easy access for all visitors.

Rich in local history, the gardens are named after Ada Ryan, wife of former City Commission Chairman Charles Ryan. The site was originally Whyalla's first cemetery, later relocated in August 1918 to its present location on Broadbent Terrace.

Today, Ada Ryan Gardens remains a much-loved destination for both locals and visitors seeking a peaceful retreat by the sea.
