The Whyalla Conservation Park is a peaceful natural reserve about 8 km north of Whyalla along the Lincoln Highway. One of its highlights is Wild Dog Hill, a striking red sandstone outcrop that glows beautifully at sunrise and sunset and can be reached by a short, easy walk.
Visitors can enjoy walking trails, birdwatching, picnics, and spotting native wildlife while taking in scenic views of the surrounding landscape. The park is managed by National Parks and Wildlife Service South Australia and cared for by the Friends of Whyalla Conservation Park, helping preserve this tranquil natural space for the community and visitors to enjoy.

Please remember:
Gas BBQ's only - no campfires.
The toilet at Wild Dog Hill caters for disabled persons, but there is limited water for hand washing.
Please keep to the identified tracks & walking trails - vehicles must stay on designated roadways.
Climbing on Wild Dog Hill rock face is prohibited to help preserve a very fragile & important environmental feature.
Normal National Parks & Wildlife SA regulations apply.
