Celebrating its 23rd year, the annual popular event is held on the iconic Streaky Bay Jetty, and the best part is it's free! There are cash prizes for the keen anglers 3 to 17 years of age that land the biggest of each species.
Anglers can register from 8:30am onward before getting down to the business of catching the big one. Participants can cast off from 9:00am and continue until the close of competition at 11:00am. The organisers have a catch and release policy for the event, scaled fish only.
A sausage sizzle and refreshments will be available from 10:00am, along with a great raffle. Bait will be available onsite for a bargain rate so anglers do not have to leave the competition site.
