Magpie Springs Winery Cellar Door is a unique boutique winery, art gallery, and vineyard experience in the southernmost part of the Adelaide Hills Wine Region on the Fleurieu Peninsula. Nestled in a relaxed rural setting at 1870 Brookman Road, Willunga Hill (just 7 minutes from Willunga and 12 minutes from McLaren Vale), visitors enjoy tastings of handcrafted, estate-grown wines from organically nurtured vines, including crisp whites, elegant reds, and sparkling varieties. Wines are available exclusively at the Cellar Door. Book ahead for the guided Wine Tasting Experience (weekends 11am–3pm sessions), featuring a full tasting, a complimentary glass of your favourite wine, and a shared platter for two (cheeses, ham, almonds, bread, biscuits, dips, seasonal fruits, chocolate-covered sultanas, and dried fruit). Walk-ins are welcome for wine purchases and relaxed sipping in the gardens, under the veranda, or by the fire in cooler weather. Explore the onsite art gallery featuring rotating original oil paintings, drawings, and prints by acclaimed South Australian tonal realist artist Avril Thomas, including portraits, landscapes, figurative works, and abstracts. Blend fine wine with fine art in a peaceful escape surrounded by sprawling gardens, dams, wildlife, and vineyard views—ideal for day trips, quiet afternoons, or inspiration.
