Step back in time at the Jamestown Railway Station Museum, where a fascinating collection reflects the rich history and everyday life of this Mid North farming community.
The museum features a unique variety of displays, from the day-to-day life on local farms to a rare three-wheeled car from the early 1900s, once a familiar sight travelling around the district. Visitors can also see an intriguing collection of medical equipment manufactured by the Both Brothers of nearby Catowie, innovators often described as the "Edisons of Australia."
Housed in the historic Jamestown railway station built in1885, the museum also shares memories of when Jamestown was a busy rail hub. On display is a railway carriage from the 1870s, which served over time as both a hospital car and a workman's van.
Discover stories from the World Wars, learn about the Bundaleer Forest and its importance to the region, and explore Jamestown's surprising connections to iconic Australian brands. Did you know that Farmers Union Iced Coffee and R.M. Williams both have deep roots in Jamestown?
There is much to uncover in this remarkable collection of local history.
