Attraction
Jarvis Hill Lookout is about 7 km West of Hawker and is a popular attraction for visitors who drive up there to view the Hawker township and the ranges. Views from here include the Worumba Hills to the East, Wilpena Pound, Elder Range and Wonoka Hill to the North. From the Visitor Centre travel West on Wilpena Road and turn left towards Quorn onto the Quorn/Leigh Road, take first turn right which is sign posted, approximately 200 metres. Follow the road for about 6km to the top of the hill, to the car park. This road should not be used when wet, as the road contains a lot of clay and you may have to abandon your vehicle until the road dries, this road is also not suitable for towing caravans. Ask at the Visitor Centre for more information on these walks.
