Accommodation
This is a hosted stay through Hipcamp, below is the information provided by the Host regarding their offering.
Tucked away amongst the dunes and mallee scrub near Willson River on Kangaroo Island, this is the sort of place where you’ll probably lose phone reception, gain perspective, and spend more time looking at the horizon than your screen. The house is completely off-grid, running on solar power and rainwater, but don’t let that scare you off. It still has all the important luxuries: a hot shower, a comfortable bed, somewhere to cook a decent meal, and a deck that’s perfectly suited to a morning coffee or an afternoon drink. The access track can be a little rough, the wildlife occasionally has right of way, and you’ll quickly discover that “just popping to the shops” isn’t really a thing out here. That’s part of the charm. Days are best spent exploring the property, wandering down to Bore Beach, hunting for rock pools, watching kangaroos graze through the bush, or simply finding a sunny spot and doing absolutely nothing. If you’re lucky, you’ll hear the ocean from the bedroom at night and wake to a dawn chorus instead of an alarm clock.
