Port MacDonnell's Customs House is a heritage mansion located midway between Melbourne and Adelaide. It offers a stylish take on the traditional seaside guest house, providing accommodation and custom events overlooking the ocean.
Situated where the land meets the sea on South Australia's most southerly tip, the Customs House has been the first port of call for travellers since 1862 and is steeped in maritime history.
Customs House guests stay in their own 2 or 3-bedroom self-contained apartment in this quiet Limestone Coast fishing village famous for its lobster, and can watch the boats heading out to sea. They can also enjoy the outdoor seating situated in a maze of courtyards within the historic grounds.
The Customs House also has a licenced bar in the original Court House which is used for private dinners, parties and pop-up events.
