Limestone Coast
From $0.00
Event
Join Between Waves artist Cassie Sullivan in exploring the themes of the exhibition—what's above, below and between—through printmaking.
Over three hours you will be monoprinting objects from everyday life to experiment with what can be shown through materiality. Objects will be layered and printed using both plastic and gelli plates; attendees will be able to take their artworks home on the day.
All materials are provided and no previous experience is necessary. We encourage you to bring something meaningful from home to either print with or draw.
Places are limited so bookings are essential.
Presenters:
Cassie Sullivan is a lutruwita/trouwerner First Nations artist based on Melukerdee Country in lutruwita/Tasmania. She has a responsive, intimate, and experimental practice that crosses disciplines of moving image, photography, writing, sound, installation, and printmaking.
John Robinson has an extensive background in printmaking in the commercial industry, as well at both TAFE and UTAS University. John is a practising printmaker who operates a teaching/access studio in Hobart.
Between Waves is an exhibition developed by the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (ACCA) touring nationally with NETS Victoria, curated by Dr Jessica Clark. This project has been supported by Creative Victoria through the Yalingwa Visual Arts Initiative and the NETS Victoria's Exhibition Development Fund; and the Australian Government's Visions of Australia program.
