Henry Jock Walker's practice centres around the energy of surfing, expressed through textile and moving image artworks responsive to place and open to experimentation. Walker works with found and repurposed wetsuits, cutting, splicing, collaging and sewing them into tactile works that pulse with line, shape and vivid colour.

In Salt Fruit, Walker delivers a body of exciting works that tie back to memories of growing up on his parents' farm in Willalooka, in the Limestone Coast. Tapping into a nostalgia for childhood adventure — riding motorbikes and heading to the beach — Salt Fruit showcases a bold aesthetic and materiality, evoking a collective memory and celebration of the seaside and of the open air.
Henry Jock Walker is an interdisciplinary artist who lives and works on Kaurna Country, Adelaide, South Australia and is represented by the Egg and Dart Gallery, Wollongong, New South Wales. Walker is a founding member and director of the artist collective The Bait Fridge.

Featuring work by: Josephine Lennon, Marli Macumba, Juanella McKenzie, Deanna Newchurch, Lynette Newchurch, Sandra Saunders, Heather Shearer.
The Saltbush Country regional tour is presented by Country Arts SA. The exhibition was first developed and presented as a partnership between Country Arts SA, Tarnanthi and the Art Gallery of South Australia, with support from Tarnanthi Principal Partner BHP.
