Emu Road Trip is a new SALA (South Australian Living Artist) exhibition, showcasing vibrant, quirky emu artworks inspired by their local curious and charismatic wildlife!

The exhibition captures the imaginative works of Renmark artist Jane Qualmann, whose creative journey began just two years ago.

Since then, Jane has discovered her unique artistic voice through her distinctive emu-inspired works, using a mix of acrylics, watercolours, and even sustainably sourced feathers to bring her pieces to life.

Through bold colour and playful expression, Jane captures the spirit of Australia's iconic native bird as she sees it—curious, charismatic, and full of personality. Her Riverland Emu series has been inspired by countless hours spent by the river, quietly observing these fascinating creatures as they interact with each other—and occasionally pose for the camera.

Emu Road Trip invites you to experience the charm and character of the emu through Jane's eyes, offering a joyful and uniquely local perspective that is sure to delight.
