Bute Heritage Shed
Yorke Peninsula
Free
Sponsored by Bute 2000 Onwards Committee, Bute Lions Club and Gunner Bills Gallery, the Bute History Shed is home to old farming machinery.
On display is an 1903 Stripper which was designed to strip the heads of wheat from the straw and store the grain and chaff in the back of the machine. The stripper on display is on permanent loan from a local family. It has been fully restored and would still be able to reap a crop if put to work today.
The History Shed is surrounded by public facilities including the public toilets, playground, shaded BBQ and skate park, making this a great place to stop and experience as a family.
