Corny Point Mural

On Corny Point Road, beside the cricket oval and across from the caravan park, the Corny Point Mural turns the exterior of the public toilets into a vibrant tribute to the town's identity. Designed by Christine McCarthy and brought to life by the Corny Point community in April 2006, this project was supported by the Country Arts SA Regional Arts Fund and the Corny Point Progress Association.
The mural captures the heart of Corny Point, blending coastal and rural charm with intricate depictions of sea life, native plants and animals, rolling green hills, and a watchful kangaroo. Each wall tells a unique story—from the ocean's abundance to the beach's hidden treasures and the farmland's quiet beauty.
More than just functional art, this community-driven masterpiece invites visitors to pause, explore, and appreciate the town's unique character. A true reflection of creativity, teamwork, and local pride!
