James Well
Yorke Peninsula
James Well is a small coastal settlement just south of Ardrossan.
Overlooking beautiful Gulf St Vincent, holiday homes line the coast and surrounding clifftop.
Located approximately two hours drive from Adelaide, James well is popular with families for fishing, crabbing and as a great base to explore Yorke Peninsula.
There’s a five and a half kilometre James Well and Rogues Point to Pine Point walking trail, which is part of the Walk The Yorke trail. The trail is mainly sealed and follows the coast road past the original windmill that once supplied the towns with mains water.
James Well has a cement boat ramp for the fishing enthusiasts, suitable for launching at high tide only or you can head to nearby Ardrossan which has an all-weather boat ramp, from which you can launch at all times.
