The Ardrossan Visitor Information Centre is open 7 days a week. Closed Christmas Day and Good Friday.

The Information Centre offers a wide range of tourist information for both Ardrossan and Yorke Peninsula and South Australia. We also have a wide range of souvenirs and hand crafted products for sale. The Ardrossan Information Centre aims to provide helpful service to visiting and local tourists who are visiting the York Peninsula and enable you to explore our town and region doing what you enjoy doing on holiday.

The Ardrossan Information Centre is adjacent to the Ardrossan Museum which is housed in the former powerhouse building of the Clarence H Smith factory. This factory began manufacturing the iconic Stump Jump Plough and other tillage machinery in 1880. The plough revolutionized the task of reducing the despised mallee scrub, thus opening up Australia's mallee country for agriculture. The museum features the Stump Jump Plough and historic plans of its various forms. Along with this famous plough, you will find photographs, models and other memorabilia displayed across the 5 rooms of the Museum. These displays depict the lives of our early settlers, our reliance on the sea and the history of the town from its inception in 1873.
