No summer holiday is complete without a meal watching the sunset, some local fish and chips or a big scoop of gelato by the beach. We’re calling on South Australians to support the people who make the place. The new Coast is Calling Dining Cashback program is designed to support coastal hospitality businesses impacted by the algal bloom this summer.

We’re giving 300,000 South Australians the chance to receive up to 50% cashback on their dining costs (up to the value of $50) when they dine by the coast.*

For your chance to receive one of the first 60,000 Dining Cashbacks, register in the public ballot from Monday 3 November to Sunday 9 November 2025, via this webpage.

Winners will be drawn on Monday 10 November 2025.

How does it work?

Step 1:

Enter the public ballot.

If you are a winner, you will receive a unique cashback code, as well as instructions to claim your cashback, plus a list of participating business.

If you are not a winner, you will be automatically entered into the next draw unless you opt out.

Step 2:

Enjoy a meal at a participating business and pay your transaction in full.

Most importantly, retain a Tax Invoice for your transaction.

Step 3:

Redeem your cashback by visiting southaustralia.com/diningcashback & upload a copy of your Tax Invoice (scan/photo). You’ll also need to enter some transaction details, your nominated bank details and cashback code.

Cashback will be paid to your nominated bank account within 5 business days.

Dining Cashback

The Coast is Calling Dining Cashback program is designed to support hospitality businesses that are directly impacted by the algal bloom over the summer months.

South Australians will be able to enter to win a 50% cashback offer (up to the value of $50), to be used at participating coastal venues.

The maximum cashback available is $50 per entrant.

The minimum spend is $20 ($10 cashback), however your $50 maximum cashback can be obtained over more than one transaction.

The program is open to entrants 18 years of age and older who are a resident of South Australia. Some exclusions on eligibility apply. See Terms and Conditions.

A public ballot for the first 60,000 cashbacks will open from 12.01am Monday, 3 November 2025 to 10.00pm Sunday 9 November 2025.

The first draw of 60,000 vouchers will be drawn on Monday, 10 November 2025, with South Australians winning a cashback opportunity to be used before midnight Sunday, 7 December 2025.

There is a total of 300,000 dining cashbacks available across the program.

Successful Dining Cashback recipients will be sent a listing of the participating businesses. These participating businesses will meet certain eligibility criteria and be located in coastal postcodes that have been impacted by the algal bloom. Eligible postcodes are listed here: Postcode Check | Tourism SA

Participating businesses must be hospitality businesses that meet the eligibility criteria and are located in the designated coastal postcodes serving food. Exclusions will apply.
