The FIFA Fan Festival is the perfect place to watch FIFA Women’s World Cup matches live on the big screen in a buzzing atmosphere, while also enjoying an exciting football and entertainment programme.

The FREE festival takes place at the Festival Plaza (located off King William Road and North Terrace, via Station Road) in Adelaide/Tarntanya from 20 July to 20 August. It's a vibrant destination for everyone to celebrate the global game and experience the best in football, music, entertainment, local culture, food, and games.

1. Watch live matches on the big screen

The FIFA Fan Festival™ is the ultimate destination for football fans who want to experience the thrill of watching live games with other enthusiastic fans. Entertaining live hosts keep the energy levels high throughout the matches, with fun games, crowd giveaways and more.

The FIFA Fan Festival™ offers more than just live games. Enjoy free concerts by some of the biggest names in Australian music including Kimbra (21 July), San Cisco (5 Aug) and Montaigne (11 Aug). Plus, enjoy an eclectic mix of local talent in our SA Music Showcase, making the FIFA Fan Festival the perfect place to indulge in your love for both football and music.

3. Interactive Activities for the Whole Family

The FIFA Fan Festival™ is not only about watching live games and enjoying free concerts. It also offers a variety of fun interactive experiences for fans of all ages.

Get your taste for football on the mini-pitch - which hosts clinics, demonstrations and come-and-try sessions. Additionally, fans can test their reflexes at the reaction station or challenge each other to a game of dart board football. These interactive experiences provide a great opportunity for fans to learn new skills, make new friends, and have fun.

4. Try Food from Around the World

Calling all foodies, the Adelaide FIFA Fan Festival™ features a menu curated by local Adelaide chef, Callum Hann. Warm up with these hearty meals, which all showcase the exceptional produce of South Australia by using local, in-season ingredients across a diverse range of cuisines.

Enjoy food from around the globe with England, China, Spain, Argentina and more, all represented within the delicious meals so every fan will feel at home. There is something for everyone, including vegan, gluten free, as well as healthy options for both the kids and adults.

5. Learn from in-depth panel discussions

Expand your knowledge and explore new insights into the world of football with industry experts at the FIFA Fan Festival™. Join the vibrant Adelaide media personality, Ali Clarke, as she hosts insightful panels featuring various guests of interest, including past Matilda's players.

These panels will cover a range of topics such as 'Inclusion in Sport' and 'Celebrating South Australian Matilda's'. Get ready to learn from the panel hosts as they delve into the questions posed to them by Ali. These panel’s will be an excellent opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of football and its related topics while enjoying the lively atmosphere of the FIFA Fan Festival™.

6. Free Dance and Cultural Performances 

Celebrate this worldwide event and become immersed in the culture of the visiting countries with free dance and cultural performances before select games. Cultural groups featured have included Celtic Reflections, African Soul, Long Hoa Lion Dancers, Matsuri Taiko, Sasamba and Chinese Dance Australia.

7. Meet the Official FIFA Women's World Cup Mascot

Get a selfie with Tazuni™, the official FIFA Women’s World Cup mascot! She is a fun, football-loving penguin, and will be making many appearances to the FIFA Fan Festival™ to meet and interact with fans. Tazuni is a eudyptula minor, known as little penguin, native to Australia and New Zealand and her name, Tazuni, is a fusion of her home – the Tasman Sea – and ‘unity’, a key value of the event to be co-hosted by Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand in 2023.

Please note, there are currently no further scheduled Tazuni appearances.
