Seal Bay

Visit Kangaroo Island: Australia's zoo without the fences

Kangaroo Island has three main towns, but for the most-part, wilderness is king. Travel through bushland, to beaches, over rolling hills and around rocky cliffs. The Remarkable Rocks are a cluster of gigantic granite boulders overlooking dramatic cliffs and deep-blue swells. Admirals Arch is a rocky naturally-formed archway dripping with stalactites. Get up-close to koalas and kangaroos on a wilderness tour or embark on a swimming safari with dolphins and seals. Chill-out at a secluded swimming spot like Vivonne Bay with its curved stretch of pure white sand and turquoise water. Stokes Bay and Emu Bay are perfect places to put up an umbrella, lay out a towel and let the hours pass-by undisturbed.
