South Australian wine time

British wine expert and TV presenter Helen McGinn has long sung the praises of Australian wine, and South Australia’s bottles are never far from the top of her list. This time, she’s bringing great friend and fellow taste-maker Kat Farmer straight to the source. To the vineyards. To the cellar doors. To the people who’ve spent years among these vines and still get excited to share stories about this Great Wine Capital of the world.

The pair travel from Adelaide along the Epicurean Way, winding through some of the country’s most celebrated wine regions, staying in boutique lodges. You can too. Imagine sun-warmed afternoons at a table set between the vines, where wine and the produce on your plate share the same postcode.

The itinerary writes itself. Blend your own bottle, laughing as you debate the perfect percentage. E-bike between cellar doors along gum-lined roads or end the afternoon with sandy feet after a quick dip in the ocean. Over eight delicious days, you can follow in Helen and Kat’s footsteps and enjoy your own South Australian holiday. You can meet the makers, growers and locals who value living well over living large. Hear the stories of ancient vines and even older landscapes. And somewhere between the first sip and the last course, you’ll realise it’s not just about the wine, it’s about the simple moments that make it all taste better. Fly with Singapore Airlines to Adelaide and use this itinerary as your starting point
